Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter’s 911 Call Reveals Suspected Overdose

Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria Jones, was reportedly found dead after authorities were alerted to a possible overdose.

Local San Francisco police officers received an emergency call for a “code 3 for the overdose, color change,” according to dispatch audio obtained by TMZ.

The outlet reported that, upon arrival, paramedics pronounced Victoria dead on the scene at the luxury Fairmont San Francisco hotel on Thursday, January 1. She was 34.

Us Weekly also confirmed that the local fire department responded to “a report of a medical emergency” at the hotel around 2:52 a.m. without identifying Victoria.

“Upon arrival, paramedics from the fire department performed an assessment. The person was declared deceased,” a statement shared with Us read. “SFPD and the medical examiner’s office were called to the scene. Scene turned over to SFPD and SF Medical Examiners.”

The SF Chief Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed Victoria’s identity, telling Us, “Her legal next of kin have been notified. The OCME has no additional information to share or comment at this time.”

Victoria is survived by her parents, Tommy, 79, and ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley, and older brother Austin Jones. Us reached out to the Oscar-winning actor for comment.

Victoria had followed in her father’s footsteps as an actor, appearing in his movies Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.

“She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish,” Jones told The New Yorker in 2006 of casting Victoria in The Three Burials, which he directed. “When she was a baby, I told her nurse to speak to her in Spanish, but I fired my daughter [from the movie].”

Tommy even tried to fire Victoria, then 14 years old, from the role at one point.

“She had to get up at 5 a.m. for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed,” Tommy recalled to the outlet. “I said, ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge, so I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time.”

After Tommy and Cloughley divorced in 1991, he moved on with third wife Dawn Laurel-Jones, and they tied the knot in 2001.

“I don’t know what the hell I was doing,” Tommy joked of meeting Laurel-Jones, a photographer, during a 2013 profile with The Independent. “She took a lot of pictures down there and the Climate Reality group liked them so much, they put on an exhibition and auction in London. We were there to hang that show and attend the auction.”

He continued, “She took some beautiful pictures there. Of course, the ice is melting, and these pictures dramatized that somewhat. They’re very beautiful pictures. She sold 17 and that brought in a little over $401,000 to support this organization that we actually are a part of.”

Tommy and Laurel-Jones live between a ranch in Texas and a polo facility in Argentina.

“We’ve built a world-class polo field and a practice field there, so my team and the kids’ teams can play,” he told The New Yorker in 2006. “Dawn is [also] one of the best women polo players in the country, and she didn’t even know how to ride a horse 10 years ago.”
